Senior Managing Partner

I started my career in heavy civil construction at Kimmel & Associates in March of 2004. I spent my first year recruiting for multiple positions nationwide for the heavy civil group. I completed the Recruiter Certification Program in the first year and was fortunate enough to work with an exclusive senior group in the heavy civil division.

In April of 2005, I was promoted to a Consultant overseeing business development and recruiting for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. I continued to serve my clients and candidates in that capacity while being promoted to Vice President.

During my 13-year tenure at Kimmel & Associates, I managed to achieve many accomplishments including, but not limited to:

  • Largest retainer agreement in company history
  • Multiple successful C-level placements
  • Top ten in billings during my second year as a consultant
  • Top 15% of billing for 9 out of 12 years (two of those twelve years, I traveled for 6 months and only worked the remaining 6 months)
  • Awarded the Selfless Act of the Quarter twice
  • Multiple Gold and Silver Sales Awards
  • Over $3,500,000.00 in career billings

I founded HCRC Inc. in 2017 in an effort to continue to serve clients and candidates. We are developing programs and consulting initiatives to help our clients in more than just recruiting. This includes: onboarding and retention consulting, employee satisfaction assessments, succession consulting, company acquisition, and sales consulting.

I am an avid long-distance backpacker, having completed the Triple Crown (through hiking the lengths of the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide trail) and, in 2016, completed the Te Araroa, which traverses the length of New Zealand. I also enjoy adventure motorcycle riding, kayak touring, bicycle touring, mountain biking, and photography.

Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my loving family.

Senior Partner/Lead Consultant

I have worked in the retail industry for over 10 years with both REI (Recreation Equipment Inc.) and The North Face, continually sharing my passion for the outdoors while growing my experiences in business, talent marketing, and human resource practices, sourcing and recruiting at a variety of levels.

While in retail management, I was responsible for the overall store operations being successful in both start-up and turn-around management roles. I have had the opportunity to be a part of several successful teams and excelled in building and motivating management and hourly teams.

I developed many entry-level associates to leadership positions and quickly became one of the primary trainers of new store operations across the district.

My retail accomplishments:

  • Anderson Award in 2007
  • Retail Management Training in 2009
  • New Store of the Year in 2010

As a Senior Partner with HCRC, I’m responsible for recruiting top talent, seeking out industry leaders looking for a new career challenge. I take pride in providing the best candidate experiences possible. I received my undergraduate degree in Human Resources from High Point University.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I’m also an avid outdoors-man, spending time on the trail backpacking, kayaking, and cycling.

Lead Consultant - West Coast

After a successful career in sales and sales management that went over twenty-five years, I found an opportunity to begin a career as a recruiter in the civil construction industry. Having worked in multiple industries has shown me the career growth that comes with change.

By taking part in interview and hiring processes with past employment, I am able to advise and offer the perspective of a hiring authority when evaluating and preparing candidates. I am pleased with the unique perspective I bring to the team and the way that I can genuinely help those I work with benefit both professionally and personally.

My first professional responsibility is to build and maintain relationships that start with earning trust. Second to that is my pledge to seek the best outcome for everyone I work with.

When I am not working, I enjoy time with my family and making time to spend outdoors.
